UPS Aviation Technologies description:
The new SL10 Audio Selector Panels are loaded with features and functionality
for the pilot, crew, and passengers. Each SL10 model can be connected to as many
as 3 transceivers and 6 receivers. Through the use of intuitive front panel
controls the pilot and co-pilot can quickly and easily switch between Comm 1 and
Comm 2, with the added benefit of selecting any or all receivers. An optional
remote push button can be installed on the yoke to provide the pilot with
another means of switching between Comm 1 and Comm 2. The SL-10 can be
configured so Comm 1 and Comm 2 can be used simultaneously by pilot and
co-pilot. The pilot may talk and listen on Comm 1 for example, while the
co-pilot uses Comm 2 at the same time. The voice activated intercom offers the
utmost in flexibility with pilot, co-pilot, and passenger channels. The pilot
can select between ISO, All, and Crew. In the ISO mode the pilot remains
connected to the audio panel with the crew and 4 passengers connected to the own
VOX intercom. The All mode connects pilot, crew and passengers to a party line,
and the Crew mode can separate the pilot and co-pilot from the passengers. The
front panel controls are backlit with an automatic dimming control circuit or
the brightness can be adjusted through the panel dimming control.

There are four Apollo SL10 models to choose from: the SL10, a standard audio
selector panel with six place intercom; the SL10M with intercom and marker
beacon; the SL10-S with intercom and hi-fi-stereo; and the SL10MS including
intercom, hi-fi stereo, and marker beacon. The SL10-S and the SL10M-S stereo
models are the only audio selector panels in the world to offer two stereo music
inputs. These models feature "Soft Mute" which automatically mutes the
entertainment audio to a background level whenever the intercom or comm
transceiver becomes active.

All four models are TSO approved providing superior quality, performance, and
features exclusive to the Apollo SL10.

Description:
This gauge is an interface for the FS2002 radio gauges. It toggles the sounds of
the navaids ident Morse code on and off and corresponds with the installed
radios in the panel. It also switches between COM1 and COM2 radio.

This gauge has functional buttons like the real instrument. Some of them are
fake buttons with no action in the FS.

The Buttons and Knobs:
See the picture ExplSL10.bmp which gives an overview of the functions.

The C1 and C2 buttons toggle the COM1 and COM2 radios. Having COM1 and COM2
active at the same time is not possible.

The N1 and N2 buttons switch the sound of the NAV1/NAV2 Morse ident codes on or
off, if the frequency entered in the NAV1/NAV2 radio provides such a signal.

The D button is the same, however for a DME station.

The M button is the same, however for an ILS marker beacon.

The A button is the same, however for a NDB (ADF) station.

The AX and S buttons are fake buttons with no action in the FS, nevertheless
they are animated and lighted if you push them.

The selector knob at the right side of the panel has several positions.
Clicking on the left side the knob will turn counter clock wise to it's left
most position and power is off. Clicking on the right side the knob will turn
clock wise to it's next position.
Position COM1 turns the panel on and sets COM1 button and radio to active,
position COM2 sets the COM2 button and radio to active. Any other postion has no
effect in the FS.
You can have the power always set on and use a central avionic circuit
switch in your main panel to set the power of ALL radios in this package.

The small HI-LOW-TEST-switch near the marker beacon lights provides a test mode.
If test mode is active, all marker beacon lights are light up and you hear
Morse code sounds for outer, middle and inner marker.

The marker beacon lights:
They indicate -from top to buttom - airport-, outer-, and inner- marker when the
appropriate frequency is given in the NAV1 radio and when the aircraft is on the
glidepath.

This is version 1.0 of this gauge and if any updates are required I will release
them. Send me an email if anything doesn't work as expected.
